It’s been an interesting few days. If you’re wondering why it’s been so quiet in EmmieLand, it’s simply because I’ve been busy moving my old, velveteen-rabbity blog over to a new, snazzier self-hosted site. Before you think I’m a tech genius or anything (feel free to laugh), know that the fabulous Andrew Heacock (FizzyGrrl Summer’s husband, also known as @quikchaos) and Dan Swensen (@surlymuse) have been both sounding-board and gurus for this process. Andrew even helped me edit the hosting files in my computer so I could work on the site while I was waiting for the name servers to fall into line.
Before your eyes glaze over completely, know that…well. We’re back! You’ll notice a few coming changes, such as more social media optimization and a couple of streamlining issues, but this is it! For those wondering, the theme is Gleam from ElegantThemes, and the photos you see in the background are stock photos from PhotoXpress.
But I haven’t been completely stuck under a mountain of unintelligible code. I’ve been busy.
If you missed it, Monday I was over at the new Searching For SuperWomen blog, writing about the very emotional experience of meeting Eve Ensler in person. Go check it out.
And on Tuesday, I was up to bat over at the Spellbound Scribes, talking writing with the subject of character creation and the “Should characters be role models?” debate. Chime in for yourself!
Finally, today you get to meet Fran Roberts over at Searching for SuperWomen and hear why she joined us! Meet Fran, CatWoman extraordinaire.
It’s good to be back, gentle viewers.
How’s your week going?
